Teacups and Ribbon Smash Cake

I was fortunate enough to be invited to this birthday party, so I got to eat one of these teacup cupcakes.  Might I just say that they were delicious!  White wedding cake, raspberry filling and vanilla pastry cream filling with buttercream frosting *sigh*.

It was not only the birthday girl's first birthday, but the first time she had eaten any cake!  I am not sure how she can be a relative of mine and this be a possibility.  The poor baby girl was not too happy about getting this strange frosting stuff all over her.  I am hoping that in later years she will come to appreciate my baking ;)

London Olympics

With the 2012 Olympics coming up, my niece decided to do her daughter's first birthday with an Olympics theme.  I didn't do the table here, just the cupcakes and cake.  She and her sister did the rest and when it all came together, it was very cute!

These two pics aren't great (I took them with my phone), but I may add more pics later when I ever get around to getting the good ones off of my camera (so what I am saying here is don't hold your breath!).

I know, I know....if you have ever asked me to make a cake, and I said "I don't make cakes", I am sorry!  I should say that I don't like to make big cakes and try to avoid it at all costs!!  I make exceptions now and then, and that is good for me, because it reminds me of the reasons why I should always tell people that "I don't make cakes". ☺

Baby Shower Buffet

Here is the dessert buffet that I did recently for a special baby shower.  All kinds of yummy things to choose from!  Cake Pops, Cake Truffles, Sugar Cookies, M&M's, Jelly Beans, Peanut Butter Candy.....delicious!

We had Cake Truffles: Birthday Cake, Very Berry, Peanut Butter Banana, and Chocolate Chocolate.  Peanut Butter Banana is one of my newest flavors, and is becoming a favorite!

Here are some Flat Top Cake Pops with Diamond Tags that say "It's a Girl!".  They really dress up a tray of Cake Pops and are totally customizable.

Below are Chocolate Cupcakes with Chocolate Buttercream frosting.  The little medallions that are on top are made of gum paste with a little glitter on them and are completely edible.  I have special boxes that I made for a tiered effect when I display my cupcakes.  They can be wrapped with a matching fabric or paper and ribbon.

The next photo is of the party favors that I made.  They turned out so adorable!  They can be done in any flavor, of course.  The flower on top is fondant with a pink candy pearl in the center, again, totally edible.  They look great on a tray or cake stand and the guests are so excited to be able to take one of these home with them!

Tower of Cake Pops

A tower of Jean Marie's Cake Pops is a really unique and fun way to display the goodies for your party, wedding, or event!  These were done for a retro birthday party, so the pink and green colors are a little wild....but they looked so amazing on their tower!

A Cake Pop Tower can be customized with a ribbon color that matches your event.  The tower holds three dozen cake pops.  We have a package that includes the four different flavors/designs of cake pops, tower, delivery, and set up.
Our website is STILL under construction, but it is coming soon.
When it is done, you'll be able to find these on the Events page.
For now, you can email me at caketruffles@live.com

Elegant Flat Top Cake Pops are great for Weddings!

I did these wedding cake favors a while back, but haven't gotten around to getting them on the blog until now.  Flat Top Cake Pops look great on platters on the cake table at a wedding or can be used as part of the center pieces on individual tables for your guests to enjoy.  We fully custom design the diamond tags and can use ribbon and drizzle colors to match your decor as well.  Delivery charges apply in the Springfield, Missouri area, or they can be picked up in Strafford.  Check the Events page of our website or Contact Us for more information.

14th Birthday Cake Pops!

Cake pops that look like cupcakes!!  These are so great for a special birthday party.  The bottom "cake" is made of rice cereal/marshmallow treats, covered with buttercream frosting, covered with homemade fondant.  DELICIOUS!

Cake Pops in the cupcake shape are 1/2 again as big as our normal size cake pop or cake truffle.  There are 24 cake pops on this "cake".

MENU CARD flavors

I have printed some business cards with my "menu" on the back.  This way, when you have an assortment tin, you can tell which flavors are inside.  Good idea, right?!?!

You know when you get a box of chocolates and you have to bite into it to see what is inside??  I hate that!  I want to know what is in there so I can pick which one I want.  So, that is what I have done with my cake truffles and cake pops.  Unless you order custom colors, or perhaps special decorations for a holiday, my flavors are always decorated the same way depending on what flavor it is inside.

Here is what it looks like....

Here are pics of my TRUFFLE TINS!

I have a pretty large assortment of tins with windows in the top.  The window really makes the gift because the truffles are so pretty to look at in there!  There are two sizes, the large tins hold 21 cake truffles with seven different flavors and small tins hold 10 cake truffles with five different flavors.  I can't get any more tins from my current source and I have been searching the internet for another place to order them, with no luck so far.  But, for now, I have lots of them in many different designs....just trying to plan ahead!
